Mikayla DeMatt is a graduating senior at Elizabethtown College, studying Environmental Science and Public Health with a minor in Religious Studies. She had the opportunity to travel to Japan for a May term in 2023 to learn about and experience Japanese history, culture, spiritual traditions, and art. Mikayla also had the opportunity to visit Uganda for the 2024 May term with E-town’s Public Health Department to learn about community health development efforts in Uganda. Mikayla loves to travel, read, be outside, play the saxophone, and spend time with her two cats. After graduation, she hopes to find a career in conservation, aquatic ecology, or environmental health.
