Senthy Nguyen

Senthy is a creative writer and freelance photographer deeply inspired by the places she calls home—Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Vietnam—as well as the unfamiliar cultures she has come to embrace in the United States and the many places she has been fortunate to explore. What began as a childhood dream of travel has grown into journeys of exploration and transition, marking new stages in her life from college to graduate school. 

She returned to photography after a transformative trip to Seattle, Washington, where reconnecting with an old best friend rekindled her passion for the camera. Photography became both a device of friendship and a medium to process grief, sadness, and change. Her work often centers on presence and absence—what is visible and what isn’t, yet can be felt. In the future, she hopes to weave her creative writing and photography together into a unified practice.
