Elena Lichtenwalner

Elena, who grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is a senior at Virginia Wesleyan University studying English with a creative writing focus. During her experience in the Batten Honors College, the university’s honors program, she has taken part in presenting her work, representing the university in ethics competitions, and assisting in the honors office. Elena studied abroad during her Spring 2025 semester in the United Kingdom at Nottingham Trent University. She also visited Italy, Greece, Germany, France, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. If she is not found writing and copy editing for her school’s paper, The Marlin Chronicle, she is either watching movies with her friends or spending the day enjoying the sun.
