Avalynn Zimmerman
Avalynn Rose spends most of her time appreciating the stillness of silence in the void that can appear within empty space. This behavior derived from her neurodivergent nature that was shunned during her adolescent years. She understood her difference from society and at first punished herself for such quirks but now she is embracing her uniqueness through the arts. She has learned to be introspective through a creative lens—the creative lens of poetry and visual art. The more she sits with her feelings and the world around her, the more she understands the concept she had been facing for years: human loneliness. Throughout each of her pieces of work, they explore deep psychological concepts that most of us face daily. She brings attention to detail within texture among creatures in the environment to visualize mood and tension. Her artwork encourages conversations that are tough to talk about to erase the stigma on mental health.
